We had the opportunity to spend Christmas and lots of time after in the Southeast corner of our great nation. We went to North Carolina first and spent Christmas day with Shayne's parents who are currently serving a full time LDS mission in Charolotte, NC. I don't currently have the pics from that portion of our trip - they are stored in my hubby's laptop. So, I've decided to start blogging from stop #2 - Atlanta, GA.
My family met at Lara's house this year. It was a FULL house and she was a trooper to relinquish all control of her home for the week! It is such a treat to have everyone together. Here are a few of the highlights:

Peachtree City is famous for miles and miles of golf cart paths... and every family owns a golf cart too! Shayne tried REALLY hard to convince me to buy a golf cart... he wants to take advantage of the electric car tax break. Sorry Hon, but we don't live in Peachtree City. And by the way, this entire trip was FREEZING. Hence the covers on the carts and blankets to bundle the bunch as they made their way to the famous CAFE PIG for lunch.

We celebrated Jared and Shayne's birthdays together. I found a cake that sounded yummy to eat - but ummmmm, it came only with pink decor. The owner tried to make it "manlier." I thought it was the ugliest cake... but the guys didn't complain!

Lara took us on a Ghost Tour of Roswell (town north of Atlanta). There is a lot of history and lots of great ghost stories about this place. This was a highlight from my visit last summer and Hunter was REALLY excited to see the places and hear the stories for himself.

We went to the GA Aquarium and it was AWESOME. It's about 100x bigger than our local aquarium. ;-)
